Independence Day Library Event Ruined by One Bigot
For many years, the 4th of July has not had a formal celebration in Santa Ana, and I believe this was a great idea for Mr. Bella to put together. Many of the organizers were set to be honored last night before the City Council, but that was put to a stop after two Councilmembers, Claudia Alvarez and Sal Tinajero threatened to walk out. Mauk’s Selective Reasoning: Only his managers should get raises
Norberto Santana, Jr. over at Voice of OC reports that County CEO Tom Mauk and the Orange County Attorneys’ Association are having a bit of a dust up over their deferred raises that Mauk ordered not be included in the 2010-2011 county budget approved last month. Last year, Mauk’s managers kept their deferred raises.
