Supervisor Nguyen, through the county’s taxpayer-funded attorney, demanded that OCEA stop using her photo in their Crystal Ball ads. In order to comply with her demand, they have revised the images in their campaign to hide Nguyen’s image in shadow, and sketch out the images of all Supervisors shown inside their crystal ball.

The Orange County Register ran a great story about political underdogs over the weekend that brought to light the motivation of candidates who run for elective office, in spite of all the odds against them in unseating an incumbent official. The story featured Suzanne Savary who is challenging Congressman Dana Rohrabacher and Peter Anderson, who is challenging Congressman Ed Royce.

Vanguard University Withdraws from Tuition Partnership with County

The evangelical Christian school Vanguard University withdrew a reduced tuition deal with the County of Orange last week after an employee filed a complaint alleging the partnership violates the county’s nondiscrimination policy.
