Irvine Council: Shea/Choi/Rodgers Attack Ad

A new Cable TV Ad from Christina Shea, Steven Choi and Pat Rodgers of “Team Irvine” has dropped. Looks more like a hit from “Team Division” or “Team Hate.” They cannot run on their records so they instead try to ding Sukhee Kang, Beth Krom, Larry Agran and Todd Gallinger. The ad isn’t done very well and does nothing to elevate Shea, Choi or Rogers.

  1. This ad cracks me up. I love the ominous voice, “and what about those 50,000 trees,” because everyone hates trees.

Of course the actual zinger in the ad, where we allegedly raise our funds from, is deceiving and wrong.

Real estate developers spread their love around, making contributions to all serious candidates. The people they’re attacking give them money too.

Picken/prop 10, there is absolutely no financial connection between any of our campaigns & pickens or prop 10. This is just one of the tattler’s lies. He figures since we all support prop 10, we must be paid to do it. But we support Prop 10 because it will get polluting trucks off the streets, invest in creating green-tech jobs, and, ohh yah, that $25M set aside for Irvine. That would be kind of nice to interject into the local economy at a time like this.

Then we’ve got “CAIR’s Hamas supporters.” Do I even need to say anything? They continue to play on fear of Muslims and terrorism, continue to scare and divide the community. It’s low low low, but shows us that focus on dialogue among all the Southland’s diverse communities is still needed.

  2. What a bunch of pathetic whiners. Its a complaint that they didn’t raise enough money. And more community division…typically.

  3. Did T. Boone Pickens contribute to the Kang slate? Otherwise, what a whopper of a lie in a campaign ad.

  4. Wow. That was spectacularly bad. If you wouldn’t have said this was serious I would have thought it was a joke.

  5. I had a question, is using an Irvine PD police car in a political mailer allowable? I voted for Mr. kang however I just thought the use of an IPD car in an ad I just received looked out of place. Is this allowed for political purposes?

  6. The candidate cannot appear in the ad with the car. The ad has a fire truck and a police car. It’s kosher. Pat Rodgers in his Irvine PD uniform; borderly legal, completely unethical.
