Crime Victims Blast Nelson for Cover-Up

At a press conference in Fullerton this morning leaders of Crime Victims United of California today blasted Shawn Nelson for his cover-up of web solicitations advising convicted sex offenders. Nelson admitted his law firm’s ads about avoiding Megan’s Law registration requirements were just a way to boost his site’s ranking on Google.

Loretta Sanchez Co-Sponsors Dream Act

This big news of the day is Loretta Sanchez finally co-sponsoring the DREAM Act, which would allow for the legalization of undocumented immigrants who were brought here when they were young and went through the school system to obtain a college degree. Honestly, I cannot think of any immigration change that is more deserving. I am glad Loretta Sanchez has given her name as a co-sponsor even though she has stated endlessly that she would vote for it if it were to come up for a vote.

Grand Jury Exposes Santa Ana City Council…Now What!

The Orange County Grand Jury issues a report regarding the sweetheart contract given to Cordoba Corporation, despite being the lowest rated bidder by city staff. You can read about it HERE. I wish I could say I am shocked, but I am not, this is the culture of the City Council of Santa Ana. I know people say “pay to play” goes on all the time in politics, but Santa Ana’s elected officials at the city and school board levels have repeatedly shown it does not take much to play if you are a connected yet flawed company.
