Carly Fiorina must really be scared about the entry of Tom Campbell into the Republican US Senate Primary Election. She’s either scared, or crazy like a fox, or maybe a wolf in this case. The objective of any viral marketing campaign is exposure. This stunt has certainly gotten that. There is that old theory that any publicity is good publicity.
Fourth District Supervisor candidate Lorri Galloway has reported a payment of $850 to the same property management company that she was renting her home from. “Galloway said the payment was not for rent for her personal living quarters — it was for her campaign headquarters, which was on the same property.
What it seems to me is a back door way to get most of the original Renaissance Plan adopted with as little attention to the redevelopment components as possible, by making it look like the City is only adopting a simple “Transit Zoning Code.” This reminds me of a quote in L.A. Confidential where Guy Pearce’s character says “A hooker cut to look like Lana Turner is still a hooker.” And the Rennaisance Plan cut to look like only a Transit Zoning Code is still the Rennaisance Plan.
