HBO’s Real Time is back for another season and Bill Maher was in rare form with his “New Rules” segment on Teabaggers. I watched this and wondered “what would Meagan Barth think?”
An excerpt of his commentary:
Now here’s an amazing statistic. In a recent poll almost ninety percent of Tea Baggers said that they thought taxes had either gone up or stayed the same under Obama. Only two percent thought they went down. But the reality is taxes have gone down for ninety five percent of working families taxes went down.
Think about that. Only two percent of the people in a “movement” about taxes named after a tax revolt have the slightest idea what’s going on…with taxes.
Bill Maher ..
Teabaggers …
Not worthy of a response.
Looks junior is jr for many reasons.
I think he MEANT to say he was not worthy of making a response. Since it’s difficult to respond to something that one chooses not to acknowledge, but is yet based in fact.
Funny how that works
Junior, do you object to Rush Limbaugh’s use of the term “Feminazi” (which I think he created) to refer to feminists or “Magic Negro” to refer to Obama? Do you object to his, until-recently, use of the word “retarded.”? Do you listen to his show and line his pockets with cash? If so, that would make you a “Hypocrite.” Um, and also a “Whiner.”
Wade,
Rush is an entertainer. I thought that the Lib OC was a serious blog where one may discuss the issues in a rational and respectful manner. Am I wrong on this point Dan C?
I would no more refer to Rush in a debate than you or Dan should refer to Maher or Teabaggers.
