A decent Facebook group to follow for news is Orange County Buzz. It’s swings right and this gem popped up today. Theere is a girl’s track meet of sorts for this Saturday at Yorba Linda High School, followed by a press conference. So let me spoil this for those going now. Transgender kids have a right to participate in scholastic sports. The money being raised for this event will do nothing to change Califorina law.
In early April, lawmakers on the state Assembly’s Committee on Arts, Entertainment, Sports and Tourism flatley rejected two proposals by Republicans on this issue. One bill called for the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), which sets rules for scholastic, to chnage rules to prevent student-athletes born boys from participating on a girls high school team. The second bill would have reversed a 2013 law that let students — K-12 and college — participate in sex-segregated school programs, sports, and facilities that align with their gender identity.
This is not one of the bigger problems we face as a nation and the post suggests ignorance on issues of gender; but what’s a little transphobia when the perception is the “1 confused man” is how a student athlete is described.
I wish I knew what track event will negate the girls accomplishments or how this track athlete is subjecting them to abuse; track is a non-contact sport afterall. Being a high school athlete is hard enough, but rather than focus on a “confused” transathlete, let’s instead focus on getting over transphobia with kindness and understanding.
The fact that you don’t comprehend how inherently unfair it is to allow a mentally ill, delusional male, one that has been conditioned by the media and Progressive wonks, to believe that he is somehow female, just because he likes to put on makeup, wear a dress and speak with an affected voice speaks to your total cognitive disconnect.
Fanatic DEM support of the “Trans” agenda cost your party the White House in 2024. An army of young males, White, Black, Brown who see right through this insanity repudiated your ideology and swung Right for Trump. You wont be changing their minds any time soon.
Keep virtue signaling your support for individuals with gender dysphoria. Before it became a cash cow for the Trans/ Medical complex, this condition was rightfully classified as a form of mental illness. Most people with common sense still see it that way.
Girls deserve the opportunity to compete with girls.
