Vern Nelson promised all these speakers at tonight’s non-chartered Anaheim Dems meeting.
Jesse Lopez isn’t coming. Avelino Valencia isn’t coming, Ali Taj isn’t coming, Conner Traut isn’t coming. The Anaheim Dems club has no charter and didn’t submit an application to be a chartered club in time, and is not likely to be chartered. Candidates who will address the club have two realities. No money from those attending and endorsements from the county party at risk.
The Anaheim Dem’s are not chartered and have not met the deadline for submitting charters. They are not the conscience of the DPOC; Vern Nelson actually used the term “Democrat Party” which is a slur. It’s the Democratic Party not the Democrat Party. Rename yourselves, but your influence is gone.

Re: Unauthorized Use of “Democrat, “Democratic” and Related Terms-Cease and Desist
It has come to the attention of the Democratic Party of Orange County (“DPOC”) that your organization, formerly chartered as the Anaheim Democratic Club, continues to represent itself as an offi cial Democratic club despite your charter not being renewed due to repeated and serious violations of Party rules and bylaws.
We have been informed that your organization continues to invite candidates and guests to meetings under the false pretense that you are still a chartered Democratic club. In several cases, candidates have only been informed after the meeting that your club is no longer affi iated with the Democratic Party. Additionally, you continue to use the terms “Democrat,” “Democratic,” or “Dem” in your name and materials, and have continued using the official Democratic Party logo—despite having no legal or organizational authority to do so.
These actions are misleading to the public, deceptive to candidates and offi ceholders, and constitute a direct violation of DPOC’s rights and branding protections. They also create confusion about your legitimacy and imply an affi liation that no longer exists.
You are hereby directed to immediately CEASE AND DESIST from the following:
1. Using the words “Democrat,” “Democratic,” or “Dem” in the name of your club or any associated materials;
2. Representing your club as affi liated with or sanctioned by the Democratic Party at the county, state, or national level;
3. Using the official logo of the Democratic Party or any similar branding or imagery;
4. Misleading candidates, elected offi cials, or the public about your affi liation with the Democratic Party, including inviting them to meetings under the false impression that you are a chartered Democratic organization.

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025 Vern Patrick Nelson a convicted felon and activist/agitator spoke at the Anaheim City Council meeting in Anaheim California. In the midst of his rambling speech he suggested he and his fellow agitators “Neutralize” President Trump.
This is not of course, the first time Nelson and his ilk have threatened the President, In 2016, he and a member of his cabal, one Victor Valledares of Huntington Beach, CA brought a “pinata” whose likeness was that of the President. Valladares, is an illegal immigrant activist and lives with his undocumented Mother on Koledo Lane in Huntington Beach Valladares is also a felon and has been in cahoots with Nelson for a decade.
In addition to his threats, Nelson has continually sexually harassed women and children. He is clearly deranged as he dresses up in costumes and sings songs at public events.
I HIGHLY suggest you check this guy out. Be careful, though his wife is a known “Gang Mom”, the Matriarch of the Anaheim Vato Locos street gang, where her son was a soldier before being killed by Anaheim Police in a drug raged car chase and shoot out. His moniker was “Yogi” and was implicated by the US Attorney in operation Halo, posthumously.
