State Senator Josh Newman Launches New Ad on Cable TV and Digital in SD-37 Race
ORANGE COUNTY, CA –With less than one month remaining until election day, State Senator Josh Newman today rolled out his second television ad in the general election for Senate District 37.
The ad, titled “Heartless”, is airing on cable television districtwide and is also running on digital. It highlights Steven Choi’s fervent opposition to reproductive rights, including even voting to make it easier for women to be prosecuted for miscarriages in California.
Significantly, Senator Newman has built up a broad spectrum of support as he seeks re-election in California’s 37th District, winning endorsements from the California Democratic Party, California Labor Federation, firefighters and paramedics, nurses, classroom teachers, construction workers, domestic workers, Planned Parenthood, LGBTQ+ civil rights organizations as well as scores of grassroots activists, local and state leaders, among others.

Josh Newman is a United States Army veteran, community activist, father, husband, and State Senator who currently represents the old 29th Senate District.
Throughout his tenure in the State Senate, Newman has focused on finding common sense, pragmatic solutions that help improve the quality of life for California families. This includes successfully guiding more than 20 pieces of legislation that have supported veteran services and mental health resources, improved local schools, helped businesses create jobs, and protected open space.
He and his wife, Darcy Lewis, reside in Fullerton with their daughter and three rescue Chihuahuas.
