ICYMI: Michelle Steel Voted to Ban Mifepristone in Unrelenting Effort to Ban All Abortions Without Exceptions for Rape, Incest, or Health of the Mother

 

Rolling Stone Magazine Highlights Steel’s Extreme Anti-Choice Voting Record

Garden Grove, CA — Southern California MAGA Congresswoman Michelle Steel voted yes on a bill that would have banned FDA approved Mifepristone nationwide. Rolling Stone covered this vote from September in an article written this week by Tessa Stuart. Steel has co-sponsored the Life At Conception Bill twice, a bill that would ban all abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, or the health of the mother. This bill would also ban IVF treatment, something Steel claims she supports but votes against every time. Her vote against Mifepristone was another assault on women’s reproductive freedom and another attempt to insert an extreme, right wing government into the lives of women nationwide.

“Americans overwhelmingly support maintaining access to the abortion pill — even Republicans. According to a Fox News poll released Wednesday, more than two-thirds of all voters favor keeping mifepristone legal…”

“several of [Representative Ciscomani’s] Republican colleagues, also from swing districts, did support it, including Reps. John Duarte, Kevin Kiley, and Michelle Steel of California…”
