Our rimlikking (llok it up) friends at the OJ blog published an interview with former Anaheim mayor Tom Tait which opined on possible replacements for Harry Sidhu as interim Mayor and Tait included himself over other possible candidates.
There’s one teensy, weensy problem.
Tait currently lives in Laguna Beach. Tait still owns property in Anaheim and he’s still registered to vote in Anaheim, but he lives in Laguna Beach. Don’t believe me? According to Laguna Beach’s Stu News, Laguna Beach resident Tom Tait got an award last month.

SeniorServ honors local Senior Care Heroes and Raises $315K
Over 650 guest honored dozens of senior care providers at the 8th annual Senior Care Hero Awards gala on October 20 at the City National Grove of Anaheim. Laguna Beach resident Tom Tait was honored with the Humanitarian of the Year Award.
Now good for Tait for his work for such a deserving charity, but for a blog that rails against carpetbagging relentlessly, cutting Tait slack as a former Anaheim resident (though still registered to vote there) is at odds for the same treatment that railed against Joe Kerr when he was a candidate for 4th district BoS.
Holding a special election for Mayor for about 4 months is expensive and dumb. There’s nothing wrong with Trevor O’Neill pro temming the meeting’s until election day. And I’m certain Mrs. Tait won’t want to uproot her ocean views so her husband can preside over about 10 meetings as a caretaker.
Besides, Tait might have to go in the ocean to save someone from drowning again.
Dan,
I am supporting Fred Sigala for Mayor, as a former psychiatric nurse he can get expedited admission to College hospital for the whole OJB staff (Except for the guy who lives in Georgia and opines on everything Anaheim/Fullerton??).
Apparently, Dr. Jose Moreno took the same geography class as Greg Diamond and Vern Nelson, as the VOC is reporting Councilmember Moreno nominated FORMER MAYOR Tom Tait to serve as interm mayor. Real smart Jose.
I suppose what is equally troubling is the VOC continued dependence on Jeanie Robbins as the voice of the city (she is NOT. not even close).
But, I guess that’s part of the mis information campaign.
Tait owns more than one property. Your source for is a press release? Good thing you don’t pretend to be a journalist.
StuNews is a great weekly paper covering news in Laguna Beach. It’s very well read. And yes, Tati owns lots of property. Never said he didn’t. Laguna seems to be his primary residence.
