SANTA ANA — Today, the Orange County Board of Supervisors took aim at the management problems in the Public Administrator/Public Guardian office. Current Public Administrator/Guardian has come under fire from two Grand Jury investigations and numerous complaints of management deficiencies. County CEO Tom Mauk had recommended that the Board hire a manager, reporting to Mauk, who would oversee the department. The problem is that the county already pays for such an executive, namely Williams.

At any rate, the Board took it’s first step and approved the hiring of yet another manager for the Public Administrator / Public Guardian office. The new manager will have the ability to implement personnel and policy changes in the department.
