SANTA ANA — After working under an expired contract with the county since 2007, the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriff’s (AOCDS) announced it its members today that they have reached a tentative contract agreement with the County of Orange. Details of the contract have not been announced and they will be presented to to the membership at three meetings on Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday. Voting will occur on January 20th.
Due to a county ordinance the proposed new contract must be available for public review on the County of Orange website for a period of two weeks prior to Board of Supervisors’ action. The contract will be considered by the Board of Supervisors at their meeting on February 9, 2010 if approved by the AOCDS membership.
