I jaunted over to Senate candidate Chuck DeVore’s website to chart his progress on his July fundraising ($8K short of the goal with les than 48 hours to go…consider this a plug Chuck) and tweets about Chuck’s new fundraising idea are getting some play.
Call it ChuckBucks. Wonder what the people at Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center will say about the trademark violation. Therein, lies a photo of Chuck pointing a slingshot at you, the viewer asking for certain amounts of money to be earmarked for certain things.
Â
$28 for meals for Chuck on the road; $44 for stamps; $$67 for car rentals; $125 for a hotel stay.
But, alas, there’s no option for how much one can contribute to buy Chuck a clue.Â
Carly Fiorina’s not in the race and already has more support from Republicans. And for a hard right candidate like Chuck who might get some support in the primary, wel Republicans prefer actually winning elections which is why the rank and file Republicans backed Arnold over Tom McClintock for governor in 2005. If your plan toi to run hard to the right for the primary and move to the center, there is no center when it comes to candidate DeVore.Â
There was an interesting comment posted on Chuck’s site from a Susan D. “I am so fed up with “representatives” who don’t represent me, my values or interests at all!” I feel your pain Diane, because Chuck is my state representative and he doesn’t represent my values or interests either.
I oticed they closey monitor the web IP addresses of the visitors. In some instances they block those associated with negative comments about the GOP on various blogs and websites.
It leads you wonder who is providing these. And more important why are these recorded. this is’nt gold bullion, it’s FREE SPEECH.
I thought the same thing too, but Chuck was having some sortof hosting problem. Kind of ironic for a tec-savvy candidate huh?
I still have some of Chuck’s peeps mad that I blogged about a spokesman’s job here before it was public. Taxpayer funded I believe.
Actually, Chuck might have clear sailing. Unlike Chuck, Fiorina can count votes and calculate finances. She will soon figure out that running against Boxer will cost her a lot of money, and time, and she will lose anyway. That does not sound like a good job to take on.
This is too bad in some ways as I don’t like Boxer either. She panders to big ag at the expense of the consumer and the smaller, family farms that make up most of Ag in this state.
