Sean Emery reports today in the Orange County Register that the Irvine City Council unanimously voted to set aside $1.6 million in reserve funds to blunt the impact of social services cuts to their community.
While the republican majorities on most city councils in Orange County have spent every dime they have, the progressive, liberal, management and long-term planning policies of the Irvine City leaders has led to a reserve of hundreds of millions of dollars in available “rainy day” funds.
