Okay the “Gang of Five” a.k.a. the Orange County Board of Supervisors have proven yet again that they have no common sense. Back in 2007 these “fiscal conservatives” remodeled their offices without regard to costs. Today as the county budget collapses in upon itself, and in stunning similarity to the life of pleasure and careless extravagance demonstrated by Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, the Board has embarked on the lavish and unnecessary half million dollar remodeling of their reception area and staff break-room.
Of course, leading this band of thieves is none other than the Emperor “Chicken Little” Moorlach, who now also shares the same reckless ineptitude of Louis XVI.

How about the board of sups demonstrate their “leadership” by taking a 3% cut themselves in addition to a week of without pay.

I had a brief discussion with one of those SSA mangers who will be geting the 2009 5% raises(i believe it 2% in march and 3% in June) and this manager has informed me that her respresentative body has yet to pass on any information about losing this raise.
This tells me that Moolach and co. plan to stick this cut to the frontline workers who make less.
I say everybody bring an extra shoe to the Board of Supevisors meeting and while talking to the supes show them the sole.
Show the Supes the Shoe Sole. Throwing is at your own discretion.

Norberto Santana reported in a followup story Monday night on Total Buzz the following quote from Board Chairman Chicken Little Moorlach.
“Since I’ve had my life threatened, there are a lot of people who are concerned about the safety of people on the fifth floor,” he said. “There is not a metal detector at the first floor.”
Geez. Not only does he act like Louis XVI, I think he actually believes he is Louis XVI. If you cannot face the people, you have no business thinking you can lead the people.

The constant font/color changes distracts the reader.
Was lucky enough to win two tickets from my congressman’s lottery, however, due to current finances (furlough process in state government), will not be able to attend. DC is no place to be without appropriate money… Sadly, will not be able to walk around naked (code blue, for all the people without jobs in the textile industry) and a table leg through my head (for all my furniture peeps now on the streets.)
