On Sunday January 27th I wrote a post about Santa Ana’s angriest couple, Glen and Julie Stroud, sending a letter to Mayor Miguel Pulido and the entire City Council demanding my removal from the city’s Planning Commission, accusing Councilman Sal Tinajero and myself of creating a racial divide among the citizenry. Well the angry couple is at it again sending yet another letter to Pulido and company reiterating their demands for my removal.
So why is it that the Stroud’s believe I should be removed? Unethical conduct? Malfeasance? Criminal activity? No, it is for none of those reasons. The reason they want me removed is because they don’t like what I write in the blogosphere and they don’t like that I am willing to challenge “their views” about what is best for “their community”. They are used to getting things their way and they don’t like to be questioned. This is a classic case of bullies getting a taste of their own medicine and not liking it.
In a January 21st letter to the editor the Stroud’s slammed the city council for cancelling a council meeting, sarcastically saying that they guess Santa Ana doesn’t have any serious issues to address and can afford to cancel the meeting. Well obviously they must believe that Santa Ana doesn’t have any more important issues to deal with than removing me from the Planning Commission. I find it to be quite hypocritical of them to criticize the council for not focusing more on the problems facing our community when they are spending so much time focusing on my removal from the Planning Commission.
Their constant anger and unbridled hatred of Tinajero and myself has blinded them to what is important, improving Santa Ana. They believe there is only one way to improve Santa Ana, theirs. Well their agenda of gentrification, un-Constitutionally closing streets, attacking vendor trucks and generally anti-immigrant policies will never sit well with me or the majority of Santa Ana residents. I will continue to fight them no matter how many letters they send to Mayor Pulido and the City Council.
Sean, I stopped reading Orange Juice because I was disgusted and tired of the “Santa Ana is out to get me” crap. This post is all about you. Please write about something positive, please!
enough already, it’s pretty obvious they are out to get him and it’s pretty obvious they dont like being exposed for what they really are: racist pigs. personally, if they are sending letters to the mayor to have him removed i want to know about it.
Sean,
I don’t know if you have addressed this, but the Measure D campaign, which features your pal Sal Tinajero, has accepted money from Ware Disposal. Doesn’t that make you want to Vote No on Measure D? http://www.votenoonmeasured.com
Sean is busy selfishly preserving his perceived seat of power on the Planning Commission to worry about taking a stand on an issue that is heavily favored by out of town developers and his buddy Sal.
I miss the Sean that would take on City Hall when they were wrong.
Art and anon,
Can we stay on topic here? The subject here is the continued attacks on myself by Santa Ana’s angriest couple and “No on D” cabal members Glen and Julie Stroud. I realize that you folks like to spin everything into a rant against Measure D and Sal but I am not going to bite.
As far as me being selfish, give me a break. I would never want to see myself alligned with people like the Stroud’s no matter what the endeavor is.
Anon (IP address 76.93.108.83) you sure like to talk a lot of smack around here. Why don’t you stop being such a coward and post under your name? That might at least add some credibility to your whining/shrill posts attacking Sal and myself.
the silence and hypocrisy is deafening…
Sean, get back to the good stuff you write about.
Sean – From your lack of comment concerning issues in Santa Ana such as:
1. Not enough parks
2. Gangs
3. Renaissance Plan
4. Measure D
5. Open government
The only left for you to talk about is – YOU !
Sean, you’re out of bounds posting people’s IP addresses. This is the blogosphere.
I’ll say that again…this is the blogosphere, where people post anonymous comments to posts. Learn to live with that, or don’t post.
Dear Dick Cabeza (ha ha):
In my conversations with Sean he has taken positions on important issues in Santa Ana, though perhaps not these. He writes about them on this blog, though not in this post.
Sean,
They should and will fail to remove you. But I wonder if you could explain more about the substance of the struggle. This post is highly personality focused and does assume that the readers know things that I bet most of us don’t know. If this post taught more about the issues in the attempt to eliminate you from the commission, some of these hollow comments would probably not get made.
adios
to thesunkenroad:
Wow, … that is some brilliant defence of Mr. Mills stunning silence on issues important to Santa Ana. I give up – you win. Who could argue with “logic” like that ?
Sean,
Hello my friend. I hope you are enjoying your new home at the liberal oc, they seem to be a great group of people. I wonder however what has happened to you. We stood against the mayor at all times including all those who were lock and step with them. This current measure is designed to help those currently in power. Is that what you favor? Forgive me, but is there something I am missing?
I’m confused.. this is about prop D?? I quit the OJ cuz they were Kool aid drinkers!
Urizen,
If anyone has drunk the Kool Aid it is Sean Mill. I miss working with him to bring change to Santa Ana. I remain horrified that he is now shilling for Pulido and his cabal. I can only hope that Sean voted No on Measure D…as I am sure his mother did.
As for Julie Stroud, I must say she has been a big help in defeating Measure D. I cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work repudiating the measure both Pulido and Tinajero signed on to.
