Flash: Pot calls Kettle Black

Last week, Jon Fleischman had no trouble calling assembly and senate Democrats “whores.”  Flattering visual, isn’t it?

Today, he posts a story from Republican Senator Dave Cox, over Nunez aide Steve Maviglio’s comments to the San Francisco Chron that “we (Democrats) don’t negotiate with terrorists.”

Cox is upset by the remark.

Some things should not be tolerated!  Referring to California State Senate Republicans as “terrorists” is absurd and it must stop right now.

“We don’t negotiate with terrorists,” said Steve Maviglio of Speaker Fabian Nunez’s office on Tuesday in the San Francisco Chronicle.  Unfortunately, Mr. Maviglio’s absurd reference of Senate Republicans as terrorists seemed to catch on with Democratic Leadership.  Today, at the rear of the Senate Floor, Senate Speaker Pro Tempore, Don Perata, used references of “terrorists” and “terrorism” no less than three times when discussing the efforts of Senate Republicans to provide California with a balanced budget.
Let me get this straight, Republicans can call Democrats whores, write ficticious memos explaining how they hold all the cards and what a bad job our Assembly speaker is doing, and our candidates can be called clowns, and that’s all OK.  But God Forbid that the Democrats should call a Republican a bad name!

I weep for Senator Cox and for Mr. Fleischman who surely finds the terrorist label offensive even though he himself typed that post with muddy fingers from the mud slung at the left.
