Jon Flesichman has a post on the state budget where he gets two distinct things totally wrong.
First off, Jon shows a chart that compares the proposed budget with what he says is last year’s budget. But the chart’s “last year’s budget numbers are really budget numbers from two years ago.
Simple mistake. I’ve made those myself.
But Jon goes on to write this:
It is easy to see that Democrats want to massively increase spending, and are accusing the Republicans of wanting to cut spending. The reality is that the Republicans are simply proposing LESS OF AN INCREASE. Actually, we should have actual cuts, and a lot of them, give the largesse in the budget. But clearly, in this case, the Democrats are whores for any increased spending, and the Republicans are being very modest in their efforts to apply a degree of fiscal discipline to state finaces (sic).
Mmmm. So Democrats are whores now. Funny, given the special election and recall election driven by Republicans that cost the state tens of millions of dollars, money wasn’t the issue then. And during the 12 years Republicans held purse strings in DC, I can’t exactly say they were the party of fiscal restraint.
But whores, Jon. That’s below the belt.
I could go with “I’m rubber and you’re glue…” But as far as whores go, I think its a term better suited for the Republican Party

Was Rod Majors a Gay porn star?
Yes he was/is. Not sure of his current status. I understand for men, Gay porn pays better than straight porn. I picked this factoid up from a receptionist at a company I was working at 9 years ago; her boyfriend left her to pursue a career in gay porn and her girlfriends rented some of this, er, movies to help her get over him. She said it worked for her.
Sanchez is in Afghanistan right now according to his blog. He is writing some funny stuff (similar to Colbert) for extreme Right-Wing hack sites. He’s posted a few video commentaries on LiveLeak too where he hillariously talks all about himself and ignores the troops. The guy is a major narcissist and gets way queeny if you point out his contradictions. He is one of those bizarre closet cases who have engaged in double penetration and analingus on video, yet now he claims he was only ‘acting’ (full erection without viagra) and never misses a chance to bash gays.

Is John calling Democrats whores as childish and lame as Harry Reid calling Bush an idiot? From a blogger with no personality, one can expect no less. From a Senator of such a tenured career, one can expect much more. Reid, well played. And to the author of this blog, I would like to read your comments on Reid’s name-calling. Did you condem him for name calling like you did John? My assumption is that no you didn’t – it is an interesting feeling when you realize how one-sided you are isn’t it. Life with microscopic truthfulness about yourself – if you do this, you’ll soon realize how insignificant all your screaming at the rain really is.

1. I didn’t comdemn Jon of anything. I merely pointed out that Republicans know more about whores than Democrats do.
2. My friends and wife will tell you, I’m all personality.
3. I’m sorry I can’t control what comes out of Sen. Reed’s month but I’m sure you call him “Dingy Harry” from time to time.
4. Isn’t it an intersting feeling Steve to note we’re tired of taking crap from the right wing and giving you back a taste of your own medicine. What don’t you look in the mirror and see how one-sided YOU are!
And while we expect more from our senators, should we expect more from our vice president than a comment made to a long term senator on the senate floor; I believe the term was “go f*&k yourself.”
And Steve, its freaking therapeutic to scream at the rain from time to time. It’s what will get us through the next 18 months of W.
I thought that Reid called Bush an “idiot” so we should know that, even as we undid every last benighted thing he did, we should still feel a little bit sorry for him.
What’s your preferred word for him, “psychopath”?
