Downtown Santa Ana came alive last night as many of the political campaigns and insiders chose the Artists Village of Santa Ana to host their election night parties. The night was filled with some suprises, good(Steven Choi and Bill Hunt going down) and bad(Shawn Nelson winning).
With our friends at the Orange Juice blog content to make stuff up, I’m again compelled to set some facts straight. Blogger Sean Mill, easily our most loyal reader, sent an email recently to the County Board of Supervisors complaining about Chris Prevatt “blogging” during the business day on county time while Chris is working for the County’s Health Department. I obtained a copy of Sean’s email; Sean wonders how Prevatt can post blog topics while he’s a work. That’s actually easy to explain as WordPress allows us to schedule posts.
Shawn (“BS” or “Dye Job”) Nelson has secured the prestigious endorsement of an anonymous blogger from the Fullerton’s Lowest Common Denominator” blog. In the classic, “psst, hey buddy….this is the guy you should vote for style,” the blogger “Grover Cleveland” has come out strong for Mr. Half Nelson.
Yesterday I attended Bi-Partisan Schmooze Fest 2010 Also known as the kickoff for Jordan Brandman’s re-election campaign to the Anaheim Union High School District Board of Trustees. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot, it was clear what a diverse crowd it was going to be, as I saw Democratic RSCCD Trustee and my good friend John Hanna walking up and Republican Orange Mayor Caroline Cavecche also arriving. To even give more of a visual at what a diverse crowd it was, GLBT activist Jeff LeTrourneau and Red County aficionado Matt Cunningham were in attendance as well.
