Obama for America today released a new television advertisement called “Jobs” that asks Americans to join the President in calling on Congress to pass his commonsense bipartisan plan to create jobs now as we continue to recover from the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression and rebuild an economy that’s meant to last.

On Monday night, the Santa Ana City Council in a 5-0 decision, appointed Interim City Manager Paul Walters as City Manager. While the appointment of Walters was a foregone conclusion, Mayor Pulido still managed to trump public comment on the appointment.

The first top-two primary election in California has concluded. The results show some clear winners, some losers, and some nail-biter contests whose results will not be final for days. There are a total of 113,199 remaining Vote-By-Mail, Provisional, and Paper ballots left to count. With numbers this large it is possible that some of the contests, with narrow margins between the second and third place finishers, will flip.

The United States Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit, this morning has issued its’ ruling and DENIED the request for reconsideration of the decision of a three-judge panel of the court in February 2012, upholding the ruling of U. S. District Judge Vaughn Walker striking down Proposition 8 as unconstitutional.

Whatever you do today, don’t let the projections of record low voter turnout discourage you from voting. The top-two primary election is extremely important. The decisions made today by less than 30% of registered voters will decide your choices in November for legislative elections.
