Hey readers, sorry for the delay in posting, but I’ve been at the annual RSA Conference for cybersecurity since Sunday managing client meetings, working the show floor, prospecting new business and collecting three awards for my PR firm and two for a dear colleague who passed away in November.

You never know who you will run into here.  One of my favorite journalists at the show told me about an interview he did with Madison Horn, a cybersecurity leader and a candidate for Congress in Oklahoma’s 5th district which includes a nice chunk of Oklahoma City.  She was at the Conference but our schedules didn’t work.  But I did hear all about her.

From her website:

Madison is a 7th generation Oklahoman and a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation. For over a decade, Madison has built a career as a cybersecurity leader, working to defend American interests. She understands the demands of globalization on geopolitics as well as the necessity of effectively defending against foreign adversaries, nation-states, and terrorist organizations. Now, she’s running to serve her state and her country as the Congresswoman for Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District.

She’s currently tied with incumbent Republican Congresswoman Stephanie Bice and there’s a real chance of picking up a blue seat in dark red Oklahoma.

Here is her website: https://madisonhorn.com/

Madison is more of a Biden Democrat; very moderate, which I’m sure hardcore conservatives think is downright communist.  One of my business associates does pro bono PR work for her campaign which is how I learned about her. Based on the polling in this district, the seat is in play.  Check her out.
