JOANNA WEISS STATEMENT ON DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY
A first-time candidate, Weiss built a diverse coalition of supporters
NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Tonight, Joanna Weiss called Dave Min to congratulate him on being the presumptive Democratic nominee for California’s 47th Congressional district.
Weiss is also releasing the following statement regarding the race:
“I am immensely grateful to have earned the trust and confidence of so many people of Orange County,” said Weiss. “While this isn’t the outcome we hoped for, I know that we all worked our hearts out to win this election. We brought in new voters, and we mobilized communities across the district. I congratulate Dave Min on a hard fought campaign, and I look forward to coming together and working hard to keep this seat blue in November.”

Joanna was born and raised in Orange County, graduated from UCLA, and
obtained her J.D. from USC School of Law. She is the founder and former
president of WAVE, Women for American Values and Ethics, a grassroots
