ABOUT TAMMY KIM
Tammy Kim is a nonprofit leader, educator, and mother who has served on the Irvine City Council since 2020. Tammy won her election with more votes than any City Council candidate in Irvine’s history. If elected, Tammy will be the first Korean American woman to be directly elected mayor of a “Top 100” city in the United States.
Tammy currently represents Irvine on several regional boards including: the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG), Irvine Community Land Trust, Orange County Public Libraries, Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control, League of California Cities, Orange County Division Board of Directors, the Orange County Power Authority’s Cities Advisory Committee, and the Orange County Fire Authority.
Tammy is the founder of the Korean American Center, an Irvine-based nonprofit that merged with Korean Community Services to become one of the largest social service agencies serving the Asian American community. Her experience in the private sector includes working as an executive in technology firms and running her own small business
Prior to her election to the City Council, Tammy served as a Finance Commissioner for the City of Irvine, as Chair of the Language Access Committee for the Orange County Registrar of Voters, on the Steering Committee of the Irvine Global Village Festival, and on the Education Advisory Council for our local State Assemblymember.

In the Dead On Arrival department. Kim is being promoted by the clown car known as the OJB!
I Wonder if Koreans consider referring to Asian women as “Dirty Dogs” and using a phony racist accent “love you longtime” appropriate. Perhaps Ms. Kim should be added to the #RIMLIKKER mailing list.
Tammy Kim, while acts like she wants to get to the root of FBI Investigations in Irvine, fails to mention her own corrupt dealings with government grants going to foreign entities. She is involved in an ongoing investigation into the CASCO/NOODOE deal that she brought to the Irvine City Council, where she lied as confirmed by City staff, to rush through a deal that is known to pay political leaders six-figures to secure a government contract. As far as climate change, at her first OCPA Board meeting, she was the deciding vote to put Irvine council member, Kathleen Treseder as Chairman. Instead she voted for another city representative, Fred Jung and close “buddy”, as Chairman. She then left the meeting and didn’t return. On the Irvine City Council, she has voted for the “rule of 2”, which limits public speakers, calls out members of the community who don’t agree with her, against placing district elections on the agenda because she stated that people will not know what they are voting on, and that SHE knows what’s best for them. Bullies her colleagues about their opinions and does a lot of grandstanding on issues that serve only as a headline. Her questionable tactics as to why she would try to get Mayor Farrah Khan off the OC Transportation Authority has yet to be known, but I can give it a good guess! She has proven that her last campaign promises were lies. She doesn’t believe in full transparency and accountability. Her idea of building new housing, is high-rise apartment homes and squeezing as many people into Irvine as she can. After all, she loves Los Angeles and sees nothing wrong with Irvine becoming another city like LA! I could go on and on about Tammy Kim and her resolutions that seek to divide our communities, not bring us together. However, she has failed miserably! She does not represent Irvine, she represents HER OWN AGENDA! Don’t get fooled again by Tammy Kim!
