Laguna Niguel, CA – Stephanie Oddo, not-for-profit founder, mother, lifelong volunteer and former business owner and elected official announced her campaign for city council.

She founded Healthcare Mask Collaborative (HMC) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. HMC has distributed over 60,000 cloth masks to 150 organizations, including nonprofits, healthcare organizations, first responders and our military.

In a statement announcing her campaign and priorities, Stephanie said: “I feel truly fortunate to have the opportunity to live and raise my children here in Laguna Niguel. We are a city blessed with great schools, quiet neighborhoods, low traffic, and vast outdoor spaces. I’m running for City Council because I believe my long record of public service, including overseeing balanced municipal budgets during the Great Recession, and my dedication to this community, has prepared me well. I know that by providing approachable and transparent leadership without self-interest, that I can serve Laguna Niguel’s residents well.”

In 2020, Stephanie came in fourth in a vote for three race, next on the ballot to win. “One of our biggest obstacles in 2020 was the risk of spreading COVID-19. My campaign played it safe in 2020, but this race I’m excited to be out front and in-person with voters.” In 2020, an unprecedented amount of money was spent against Stephanie proving her viability and strength. In her statement after the 2020 election, she said, “It’s unfortunate that in our sweet, family-oriented bedroom community outside interests would spend a conservatively-estimated $75K to fight a mother, not for profit founder and lifelong community volunteer. It should make residents wonder why.” Stephanie had more donors that lived in Laguna Niguel than any other candidate by double.
