Loretta Sanchez is a former Congresswoman representing California’s 46th Congressional District from 1997 to 2017. In 1996, Sanchez beat conservative Congressman Bob Dornan and went on to serve 20 years in the House representing portions of Santa Ana, Irvine, Tustin, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Orange, and Anaheim. There, she served as a senior-ranking member of the Armed Services Committee and Homeland Security Committee. In 2016, she was named one of the 25 Most Powerful Women of Congress.
