Congresswoman-elect Katie Porter hasn’t been sworn in yet but CD-45 loser Congresswoman Mimi Walters has already decided she wants a rematch in 2020. Walters filed appropriate paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission to run for her old seat under the committee names “WALTERS FOR CONGRESS” and the “Mimi Walters Victory Fund.”
So as Mimi chokes down her turkey on Thursday, she can consider how she ran in 2018:
- No Town Halls for the general public
- Public meetings before only friendly groups
- No candidate debates
- 99% voting with Trump
- OC residents filing their tax returns for the 2018 year will be shocked by deductions no longer available
- A failure to hold the President accountable for his abuses of office
- A failure to communicate with constituents.
Katie Porter will be a much better representative for us in Congress.
The submission is dated 11/8, so maybe she was filing with the assumption it’d be for re-election?
