FULLERTON, CA—65th Assembly District Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva today announced receiving the endorsement of California State Controller Betty Yee for her 2018 re-election campaign.
“Sharon understands how to strengthen communities by expanding economic opportunities,” said Controller Yee. “This means focusing on workforce preparation and entrepreneurship in the information economy and making government work smarter for the people it serves.
“Sharon is tough, effective, and works hard every day for the people who work hard for their families and communities. Please join me in supporting Sharon for re-election to the State Assembly.”
Quirk-Silva spent over 20 years teaching in the Fullerton School District prior to being elected to the Assembly in 2016. She is the former Mayor of Fullerton and served in the Assembly from 2012-2014.
The 65th Assembly District includes Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, Stanton and most of West Anaheim.
