Tonight was to be a time to celebrate the return of live music to Irvine. But it is not a day of celebration. It is a time to mourn. I thank the organizers of tonight’s sneak peek for their sensitivity in cancelling the event.
With our hearts heavy and our American flag at half-staff, the City Council and I offer our collective thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families, and their friends, who have all lost so much, and to the first responders, who displayed such heroism in the face of evil.
