This photo says it all; 400 people went to Congresswoman Mimi Walter’s Irvine office this afternoon. Doors locked. Staff gone. Cowards…..
an Update: Here’s TV coverage of the protests and Mimi wasn’t the only Congressional rep in OC to shutter offices Tuesday; Rep. Dana Rohrabacher closed his office early as well.
Snowflakes ….
Better to be a snowflake than a Republican dingleberry.
Were Diamond or Nelson there?
Of course we were! We’re not limousine liberals like Dan and his south county Agranistas. We’re kitchen coffee PC revolutionaries (progressively conservatives).
Our resistance to Trump lovers is full of coffee stains. I’ll immortalize my militant call to resist in my blog banner, below the reference to Dan’s best friend (ankle biters) : stay brave, and keep up the great work! Trump too shall pass.
Yea, Trump will pass, in about eight years. Keep whining and sniviling, it will get you nowhere.
Aren’t you busy promoting the new “Birth of a Nation” version with your KKK chapter over there?
I believe the KKK was a Democrat inspired group. I would be more inclined to go with the Tea Party instead.
You would have a point if the parties were the same now as they were then. They aren’t.
The KKK openly supported Trump.
Try not to be dumb as a stump your entire life.
I bet you enjoyed the D’Souza movie. You must be proud of Jeff Sessions and Steve Bannon. Keep celebrating with David Duke.
What is your problem? Are you even from the OC?
If you want him around for 8 years, you should encourage him to get more than 3 hours per night of sleep and to eat more than burned steaks oo and to get more exercise than the statue at the Lincoln Memorial.
Keep sucking Trump’s dick.
Was Paul Lucas there. Or was he too high to go? Or was he helping LeTourneau mail drugs across state lines?
yo retards … we live in Brea, Anaheim, and Orange. Why would we be there hassling an Irvine Congresswoman? Duh.
I know, what would you anony-pricks have to talk about if it weren’t us? And yet … doesn’t sound like Dan was there, and he DOES live in Irvine.
Okay, Back to this blog again in two weeks, next time I got nothing to do.
Advocates explain why the R-word is so hurtful when used in jokes or as part of everyday speech.
The R-word is EXCLUSIVE
“What’s wrong with “retard”? I can only tell you what it means to me and people like me when we hear it. It means that the rest of you are excluding us from your group. We are something that is not like you and something that none of you would ever want to be. We are something outside the “in” group. We are someone that is not your kind. I want you to know that it hurts to be left out here, alone.” – Joseph Franklin Stephens, Special Olympics Virginia athlete and Global Messenger

Snowflake.
Happy to show you what a blizzard looks like douchebag
Vern — want to retract the word “Retard?” Pretty crappy of you to use that as an insult. Unless you’d like to be referred to as “inmate” on a regular basis along with your friend Paul.
who lives in Brea? I thought Greg moved out of town
And yet you spent weeks in Irvine at OccupyOC
The comments on this page are a classic example of why liberals, socialists and other leftist misfits lost the election in November. No one is reciting the “Manifesto” off the same page and you continue to take cheap shots at each other. Keep it up because it makes the County Republicans look good and in my book, they leave a lot to be desired. Take off the blinders and understand, the grass roots movement has already passed you by. It happened, outside the People’s Republic of Kalifornia, speaking loudly in November. Don’t look for that to change in the near future as we move forward to Making America Great Again.
Let me fix that for you. Don’t look for that to change in the near future as we move forward to Making American Hate Again (and be hated by the entire world.)
America First and I could give a rats ass how the rest of the world feels about anything. Most of them hate us and after eight years of Barry Soetoro, see us as a bunch of pussies. They will soon find out that the Obama “pussies” have turned into Donald Trump “dicks.”
The word you’re looking for is Prick. Perhaps you ought to ponder why they hate us
Just one problem. Trump folks like you are in the minority. The only reason Trump is because of the arcane we elect presidents.
Good on him and those who supported him. But the cold hard math will catch up sooner than you realize. His poll numbers were low at the start and they’re dropping like a rock.
America was great until Jan. 20, 2017. Then we became a clown show.
Reminder: Orange County voted for Hillary Clinton, California voted for Hillary Clinton, and 2.8 million more Americans voted for Clinton than Trump. California has already relegated Republicans to the dustbin of history, and in the long run as goes California, so goes the nation.
More people voted for Democrats for president and US senate than Republicans. The Trump administration and its supporters are flaunting racism and bigotry openly. Go iron your sheets and hood Pat. The cross burning is at midnight
I won’t be there but it sounds like you will be. By the way, tell your Klan Leader George Soros I said, “to drop dead.”
On the election, since you mentioned it. There are 3,141 Counties in the United States. Of those, President Trump won 3,084 and “Crooked Hillary won 57. That’s what the Electoral College was put into place for. The people across America spoke and you lost. Get over it.
You realize Orange County has a population greater than several states? Nearly 3 million more votes; more votes cast for Democratic candidates in the senate than Republican ones. I’m happy you have cast your lot with the lying Cheeto-in-Chief, Pat. Calling you a bigot is so much easier when there’s actual proof of it.
We have never had any difficulty identifying you for what you are Dan, a liberal George Soros Democrat. Hope you know what you are buying into? I am proud to cast my lot with President Trump and supported him from Day one. Make America Great Again.
Trump loosened restrictions on Dodd-Frank, making another banking crisis more likely and hurting the working man.
He appointed the head of Goldman’s after complaining Clinton gave a speech to them.
He’s doing his best to make the rich richer on the back on the average joe.
His spokesmen cannot talk without inventing fabrications so absurd they deserve mockery:
You make no sense. All you do is insult people and parrot meaningless campaign slogans.
Let us get back to the point. Mimi Walters is hiding because people want their healthcare and she doesn’t want to see them.
The people deserve the same health care as congress and the senate. The very fact that congress won’t run their health care the same as they want yours to run should tell you want they really think of a free for all insurance market.
As I understand it, the Dodge-Frank change will make borrowing money a little easier. That will work as long as the bureaucrats don’t make a bunch of home loans to people who are not qualifired. Under the Trump Administration, that is less likely to happen than under previors administrations. How is this hurting the littIe guy? On healthcare, very few people like Obamacare, so Republicans need to get their act together and come up with a plan to replace it. That was the campaign promise and that is what needs to be done. This is the responsibility of Congress, but as we know they have two speeds, slow and stop. I have no problem with ther government coverage as long as they are working any more than I do you being covered by your employer’s heallth plan. When they are no longer working for the government they should not get free coverage and need to pay the tab just as the rest of us do. President Trump needs to kick Congress in the ass and get them moving on Obamacare and the rest of his agenda. There is no excuse for them not getting the job done that the people sent them to Washington to do.
It’s Dodd-Frank and it’s aimed at preventing bank crisis especially like the one that hit in 2008. On Obamacare, you’re wrong again. http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/19/politics/obamacare-approval-cnn-orc-poll/
You do realize that dirt can’t vote, right?
Who am I kidding? Of course you don’t.
Clinging to that bogus mindset is typical of today’s conservative.
They are all about freedom and liberty and accountability.
Except for presidential elections where the votes of sparsely populated rural counties weigh more than the densely populated urban counties.
Hmmm…imagine if we tried this in any other situation where there is a vote to elect someone to any other office in the land…”Well, yes, you did get waaaay more votes than the other guy, but that’s not important.”
Switch it around…millions more people vote for Trump, but Hillary is elected because people like you in Hooterville, Cowpie Corners and Bumpkinland liked him a lot and unfortunately their votes count for less than those in areas Hillary was popular in…can you imagine the run on torches and pitchforks?
And conservatives have the gall to moralize about “elites.”
That’s more like it – a p*ssing match between the two Parties.
Of course both of you are right though. Dan’s right that 3 million more Americans voted Democrat than Republican. And Liptard’s right that if we Democrats had our sh*t together, we would be running things.
Vern, please retract your use of the word “retard”. And I blame Bernie for the loss
Really, Bernie who stumped enthusiastically for Hillary ever since losing the primary? I didn’t know anybody blamed it on him. How lame and petty. I guess some of you don’t believe in our democratic system, and primaries.
Bernie never was and still isn’t a member of the Democratic Party. But staying in the race until the convention, long after the math eliminated him, hurt Clinton’s cause. Talk with young voters who couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Clinton in the last election…they could have made the difference but opted for Stein instead. Many can’t name a single bill Bernie championed through the House or the Senate (spoiler: there isn’t one: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/bernies-record-220508)
And for all those who say Polls show Bernie would have beaten Trump, those same polls showed Clinton beating Trump too and they were wrong.
Imagine for a moment, we have President Bernie Sanders instead of Trump. Do you think he’d be able to pass a single program he promised on the campaign trail with this Congress? DOA.
I’m still waiting for Bernie to release his taxes.
It didn’t take you long to cave in to the Trump lovers and their enablers among your limousine liberals. Ask Hanna how he treated the young people supporting Bernie at the convention. Bernie would’ve had the crowds putting a fire in the rear of the Obama hating Congress.
You did not participate in this resistance act at Mimi Walters’ office, neither you attended the women’s march.
I did, and tonight I’ll be wearing my pussycat hat, a blue one, when at the council meeting I’ll be talking about Tom’s reaffirming that immigrants are welcome, that the homeless can stay at the Karcher site while the Kraemer shelter gets ready to open. What about opening a shelter in your city?
I’ll be talking with my Walt Whitman voice, which drives your fake Vasquez crazy. Coffee power!
Hanna didn’t treat anyone poorly; I’ve seen the video clip of bunch of times and I’d rule it a Divac-styled flop.
I’m calling Mimi’s office daily to complain about a host of things; not sure how that’s caving to Trump lovers who were really good about using Bernie-attack lines against Clinton,
I did not attend either function due to prior commitments for the March and due to work commitments for the Tuesday protests.
I don’t think Mayor Tait will do anything you predict.
Send a photo of you wearing the hat!
Starting to like this Lyra player. He/she may have started as a playful parody of me, but if he/she gets both Dumb Dan’s and Dumb Pat’s knickers in a twist then I raise my coffee cup!
Better compare our IP’s, big guy! Or are we just in the same Starbucks? Ooh, scary!
Do you think it’s possible for your wife to stop talking about her bowel and bladder movements during city council meetings. Mr. Scat?
How disgusting! Talking about bodily movements in front of the city council intensely pondering the Chief’s explanation why the homeless’belongings are confiscated.
Go back to the OC Daily.
do you really think I give this comment more than a second’s thought?
Don’t you have your own blog to take care of? Your thing is literally dead, even if you don’t cross your legs.
You ran a 5K story dismissing Dan’s boss power base in Irvine, and the only comments are about typos! Dan writes a 3 lines story, and get massive, profound comments that he pretends not to give second thoughts.
Are you sleeping with Baxter again, now at the city hall, trying to get Tom’s attention? Are you going to write about his State of the Union and his explanation of the homelessness crisis? I’ll see you at the ARA meeting. I’m scheduled to play after you.
Knit a pussycat hat and give one to Dan. Here is the template:
https://www.pussyhatproject.com/knit/
My boss power base? Where are you going with this?
I read Greg’s post. He left lots of stuff out including hypocrisy by the outgoing chair, a screwup in the date of the original election and omissions about the new chair’s tenure in the club before declaring for office. 124 ballots were cast so let’s not pretend this was some sort of sea change. It’s going to lead to bylaws changes. I honestly doubt the club will have that many people at any meeting presided by the new chair. Nice try at spin. It’s a far cry from the truth.
Well, you, Henry and Larry can still shop at Nordstrom. The resistance is everywhere!
You’re welcome to join us next week, after the republicans discussion on homelessness, We’ll stay at the steps of city hall until the camping ban is lifted. Bring some coffee.
I can? Thanks! I’ll shop where I want to (never at Walmart). I have another commitment next week. Thanks for the invite.
FYI, the screwup in the date is provable by several emails from the outgoing chair. The Indian family hosting the birthday party was very kind letting us use a small room to step out of the rain. The outgoing chair seemed surprised the room was being used by another party when he arrived. Parking was impossible because roads leading to the venue had restricted access for flooding and a decision was made to postpone the meeting for a week. If the election had been held, Ken would have won easily. The outgoing chair did not take responsibility for the screw up. The email strings documented everything. No one has faith in Ron’s ability to unite the party or raise money.
