Cheema Goes Low in Irvine City Council Race, and It’s Bi-Partisan Bashing

Republican Irvine City Council candidate Dale Cheema is taking a bi-partisan approach to going low against fellow council candidates Republican Anthony Kuo and Democrat Melissa Fox.

Here’s an email he distributed on Kuo

Cheema also went after Melissa Fox.  And the flyer is full of lies.

So interesting that Cheema is going for scorthed Earth tactic when he wasn’t able to participate in the first Irvine candidate’s forum due to nerves (and we’re told much vomiting in the men’s room).

The revelation that Kuo tried to duck out of a $5,000 debt isn’t attributed, so we’d love more details.  But the mailer against Fox is complete “horsehockey.”

Those wanting to vote for Cheema ought to be aware he’s concerned operatives will use his daughter’s own hit and run incident as chronicled here and here, where she made OC Weekly’s 2013 list of the “Scariest People in OC.”

Dale ought to try promoting the positives about his experience and his campaign instead of going low.

  1. What a low life hypocrite — attacking Kuo for a hit and run while his own daughter had a hit and run and actually killed someone!

Here is what the OC Weekly said when it named Cheema one of Orange County’s “Scariest People”: “CASHA CHEEMA Fleeing any hit-and-run situation, even a minor fender bender, is cowardly and criminal. Fleeing after hitting two people on a motorcycle on a freeway? Meet Casha Cheema. On Oct. 9, the 25-year-old Irvine resident sideswiped two people riding a 2009 Yamaha while trying to avoid slowing traffic in front of her, sending the pair flying into the center divider. The unidentified driver received minor injuries, but 24-year-old Yuliana Gutierrez suffered major head trauma and died five hours later at the hospital. Witnesses say Cheema stopped to check on the motorcyclists, but left the scene when she saw the CHP heading her way. Mitigating factor: Cheema gloated about her negligent driving skills in a 2009 YouTube video, which ought to help the manslaughter case against her.”

  2. Republican realtor Dale Cheema must really want to buy himself a seat on the Irvine City Council. So far, he has spent $155,100 of his own money on his campaign, while raising only $11,413 from other people, with most of that $$$ spent on vicious personal attacks on Anthony Kuo and Melissa Fox.

  3. Mudslinging hypocrite Dale Cheema just wrote on Diamond’s Facebook page,”Mr Diamond, as much as our views may differ on some things, I believe it is healthy that we can express them in a civil manner, it’s part of what makes our country so great. I wanted to thank you for your integrity & your kind words. My family and I are very appreciative. I wish only good luck to your candidates.” Cheema is the kind two-faced fraud who can spend thousands of dollars on hit pieces and personal attacks against his political opponents and still say “I believe it is healthy that we can express them in a civil manner, it’s part of what makes our country so great.” Dale Cheema is a prime example of what makes our current elections so repulsive to so many people.

  4. A “dirt bag” by any other name is still a “dirt bag.” This guy needs to climb back into the gutter, where he belongs. I would vote for Melissa Fox, before Dale Cheema and that is saying a lot. .

  5. Congratulations to Dale Cheema! After spending more than $155,000 of his own money in the Irvine City Council race, he achieved (1) bringing renewed attention to his daughter’s hit-and-run murder charge, (2) throwing mud at official Republican and Democratic candidates, assuring that everyone now hates him, and (3) coming in 7th place, only slightly ahead of Courtney Santos, who spent no money at all.
