Orange, CA – Today, the Loretta Sanchez for U.S. Senate campaign announced the endorsement of the Orange County Employees Association (OCEA) for Loretta Sanchez’s bid to replace retiring Senator Barbara Boxer in the United States Senate, citing her strong and consistent voice for working men and women, and pro-labor voting record.
Orange County Employees Association (OCEA) is the largest independent public-employee labor union in Orange County. It represents 18,000 public employees in their collective bargaining with public agencies. Founded in 1937, the organization is directly responsible for many of the benefits negotiated by public employees throughout the County of Orange.
“Loretta Sanchez has always been a strong and consistent voice for working people in Orange County,” OCEA General Manager Jennifer Muir said. “With a 93 percent pro-labor legislative scorecard, she is battle tested. And when we asked our elected representatives to condemn union busting legislation, to protect retirement security, and to take a stand for fair pay, Congresswoman Sanchez was there.”
“I am truly honored to have the endorsement of the Orange County Employees Association,” said Rep. Loretta Sanchez. “I have been proud to stand with my labor brothers and sisters both on the floor of the United States Congress, as well as behind the picket lines. Safe working conditions, livable wages, a secure retirement, the right to organize – these are values I have stood to protect and fight for in the U.S. Congress, and I will continue to do so as a United States Senator.”
Lou added Loretta for Senate pieces because he backs her. Did Joe? Nope. How much has Diamond, Nelson and Lucas contributed to Dunn’s campaign? Not a dime.
