Santa Ana, Calif. – The California School Employees Association (CSEA) is supporting Joe Dunn for California’s 46th Congressional District, announced the Dunn campaign.

“Joe Dunn is a champion for our local schools,” said Ben Valdepeña, President of CSEA. “In Congress, Joe will fight for the educational support services that strengthen our classrooms and help students succeed.”

Joe has a strong record of accomplishments for our local schools. As state senator, Joe advocated for smaller classroom sizes, increased funding for new schools, and school infrastructure improvements. He also pushed anti-discrimination and anti-bullying legislation. The California School Employees Association joins the California Teachers Association and a growing list of local education leaders in backing Joe Dunn for Congress.

Joe also leads the race in endorsements from other organizations representing Orange County’s middle class, including the Orange County Labor Federation, Service Employees International Union, UNITE HERE, United Farm Workers, Operating Engineers Local 501, Orange County Employees Association, Orange County Young Democrats, and the Orange County Attorney’s Association.

Joe Dunn has thirty years of experience standing up to the establishment and holding big corporations and government bureaucracies accountable to Orange County’s middle-class families.

As state senator, Joe voted to protect our drinking water and air. As a consumer attorney, he fought polluters in court to for dumping chemicals into our communities. In Congress, Joe will work to create clean energy jobs and invest in technology and solutions while holding polluters accountable.

Joe also led the charge in the state senate to shine a light on big corporations’ influence over our elections, writing a bill to force them to disclose their political contributions. In Congress, he’ll fight for campaign finance reform and to take influence away from powerful special interests and their money. He’s leading by example with the most contributions from individual donors in his race for Congress.

Joe lives with his wife, Diane, in their Santa Ana home of nearly twenty years. They have two adult children, Sarah and John. California’s 46th Congressional District includes the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, and Santa Ana.
