So Cal Congressional Reps Back Quirk-Silva for Assembly

FULLERTON, CA—Classroom teacher and 65th Assembly District candidate Sharon Quirk-Silva today announced receiving the endorsements of Congress members Janice Hahn, Alan Lowenthal, and Linda Sanchez.

Lowenthal and Linda Sanchez represent portions of Orange County in the U.S. House of Representatives. Congresswoman Hahn’s district is nearby in southern L.A. County.

During her service in the State Assembly, Quirk-Silva passed legislation authorizing a veteran’s cemetery in Orange County, wrote the law expanding the California Competes program to help small businesses, and brought nearly $50 million to improve Orange County roads and freeways.

Quirk-Silva currently teaches 3rd grade and has spent 30 years teaching in the Fullerton School District. She is the former Mayor of Fullerton and served in the Assembly from 2012-2014.

The 65th Assembly District includes Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, La Palma, Stanton and most of West Anaheim.
