Hat tip to OC Weekly (see Gustavo, that’s how it’s done) for the news that former President Bill Clinton arrives in Irvine today and Vice President Joe Biden will come to Irvine tomorrow as part of two day Patient Safety & Technology Summit at the Hotel Irvine (the former Hyatt) off of Main Street and Jamboree. Clinton kicks off the event with a keynote today and Biden speakers tomorrow before visiting West Los Angeles College as part of the post-SOTU campaign to push for free community college for all Americans.
The summit is all about preventing unnecessary patient deaths and benefits clinicians, hospital administrators, patients, insurance providers and government agencies to communicate better and find more effective solutions. The event is sponsored by the Patient Safety Movement Foundation.
We wonder if Mayor Steven Choi will attend with a Photoshopped image of Hillary on his back.

The punch line on this one is in the pocket book. With a large contingent of Irvine Officers assigned to back up and support the Secret Service over two days, how much overtime will the Irvine taxpayers fork out so “Slick Willy” and “foot in his mouth Biden” can slink into town and collect their outrageous speech fees? Your tax dollars at work folks. Big government is not our friend. Yea, Dan I know the Republicans do it too, but that still doesn’t make it right. Oh, by the way Dan, if Steven Choi were to show up on Friday, it would be more appropriate for him to weat a T-Shirt with a photo of Monica “Deep Throat” Lewinsky on it.

Saw a photo of Steven with Joe Biden and he was decked out in his suit and tie. Appropriate attire when greeting the Vice-President and welcoming him to Irvine, even though the message is a crock of crap.
I saw it too; let me know when he decides to publicly apologize for the Pelosi-is-Stalin/Pelosi-is-a-Nazi prank. It was nice to tell him to his face that he had no class for doing that and failing to apologize for it at a council meeting last fall.
Biden and Obama are to some degree responsible for some of the nearly 400,000 yearly deaths caused by preventable medical errors.

The attending MD’s ‘appropriate test’ can be overridden by computer algorithms. The results are often missed or delayed diagnoses. It’s health care rationing via computer algorithms. Biden calls it quality care (and cost savings I guess).
