Nick Anas, the executive director of the DPOC, will step down from this post at the beginning of the new year to accept a position in the private sector here in Orange County, the LiberalOC has learned.
Nick was a mainstay in the OCYD organization and a key member of Beth Krom’s congressional team in 2010.
Here’s the announcement he made on Facebook today:
I am leaving my position as Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Orange County effective Friday, January 9, 2015.
I want to thank our leadership, the Central Committee, our elected officials, allies in labor, and many community partners for giving me the opportunity to serve our party these last 3 years. It has been a privilege and honor to work with all of you to advance the causes and candidates our party believes in.
…
After careful thought and consideration, I have decided this was the right time for me to pursue the new opportunity I was presented with. I move into this new chapter of my life knowing that DPOC remains strong, dedicated, and committed to turning OC blue.
We wish Nick every success in his new career.
