“Drinking Liberally” at Memphis in Santa Ana is an OC institution that is about to end when Memphis closes its doors soon. “DL” has known large crowds and very small ones over the years and it’s including a “who’s who” of political figures of all partisan stripes in Orange County. We’ve done a lot more laughing than drinking over the years and while DL may still continue, it won’t be the same when its not in Memphis.
We’re planning a Viking Funeral for DL either next Thursday, January 30 or Thursday, February 6 and we’d like everyone to come. And we’ll let you know when a date is decided.
