The Democratic Party of Orange County held a BBQ Saturday afternoon at their new office in Orange. The DPOC headquarters had been in the city of Santa Ana for almost two decades, but this last week they made the big move over to the city of Orange to what they call “a larger, brighter, newer, more visible location.” They now work right next to the Carpenter’s Hall off Chapman Avenue, where they hold their Central Committee meetings.
The BBQ was a huge success as people filtered in and out throughout the afternoon to see the new office space. Chairs and tables were set up in the main hall where the Central Committee meetings are normally held and for a while almost all the seats were taken as the hall was fully packed. Various elected officials stopped by throughout the day, including Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva who presented the DPOC with a certificate of recognition for their office Grand Opening.
The Democratic Party of Orange County is now located at 1918 West Chapman Avenue in Orange, just off the 5 and 57 freeways.
