Santa Ana city council member Michele Martinez is launching her re-election campaign for her third and final term on the City Council with an event at Chapter One in Santa Ana on October 3.  The event starts at 5:30 and will go until 7:30 PM.

Martinez was a candidate for AD-69 last year and came in fourth in a field of five candidates.  She had the support of virtually all of her peers on the Santa Ana City Council and was able to raise a significant amount of money.  She also had unsuccessfully challenged Miguel Pulido for the Mayor’s race in 2008. She ran unopposed for re-election to the city council in 2010 and finished just behind David Benavides, who also ran unopposed in his ward, for the most votes received by a city council candidate.

Her campaign committee is looking for donations ranging from $100 to $1,000.  To RSVP for the event, email Alex Flores at aflores18@gmail.com.  A phone number accompanying the invitation was missing a digit.
