Breaking: LA Times wins Pulitzer Prize for Community Service; Coverage of Bell Scandal

 

Congratualtions to the reporters and editors at the Los Angeles Times for winning a 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Community Service.  This was for the paper’s outstanding coverage of corruption in the City of Bell.

Jeff Gotlieb and Ruben Vives won for the series — “Breach of Faith” which also captured an IRE medal, a George Polk Award (for local reporting), the Selden Ring Award for Investigative Reporting and the Los Angeles Press Club’s Public Service Award.
