We have learned that Costa Mesa residents are planning a vigil in memory of Huy Pham, the Costa Mesa city worker who tragically lept from the fifth floor of City Hall yesterday afternoon after he was called in to work to receive his layoff notice. On Thursday 213 workers, including Pham, were formally notified that they would be laid off and their jobs contracted out in 6 months.

The vigil will he held at 7 pm outside the Costa Mesa City Hall. City Hall is located at 77 Fair Drive, across from the entrance to Orange County Fairgrounds.
