Failed GOP Congressional candidate Tan Nguyen was sentenced to one year in jail and six months in a halfway house for lying to investigators about a campaign mailer his campaign released in 2006. The letter, written in Spanish, was sent to foreign born US citizens with Latin-American surnames telling them that immigrants cannot vote. Nguyen was challenging Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez.
The Judge, David O. Carter has ordered that Nguyen surrender on March 28, 2011 to begin serving his sentence.
Finally, justice is served.

it’s about time! funny how he denied everything up until he was going to be sentenced then he finally took responsibility for his communist ways.instead of whining about not being able to help out with his sons tee ball team he should spend the rest of his life teaching his kid how not to be a racist swine like him. he should also apologize to mike lawson for the threat. he should apologize to all the people who got the letter. mostly he should be thankful to live in such a great country where even a cockroach like himself can run for office. personally i think he got off light i think 3 years would have been a better sentence. but the best thing of all is i never have to see those ugly green signs littering my community ever again. he’s now a felon he wont be able to run again.
