At a time when they are being hammered over an apparent lack of transparency, the City failed to take the opportunity to publicise their greatest advance in transparency in the past decade. In handling crisis communications one of the most important things that any individual or group can do is clear the air, to share your side of the story in a way that answers as many questions as possible to clarify your side of the story.

President Obama: Memorial in Arizona

President Barack Obama traveled to Tuscon, Arizona yesterday evening for a memorial ceremony in honor of the victims of the shooting and attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. The president spoke to a crowd of nearly 14,000 people inside the McKale Memorial Center and an overflow of another 13,000 on the campus of the University of Arizona. The audience included more than 40 members of Congress including Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the entire Arizona congressional delegation.
