WHY: Green jobs are being created at a rate that far outpaces the rest of the economy, and private capital is pouring into the clean tech sector at levels exceeding all others.
Orange County is at the forefront of the clean tech revolution and is presented with a tremendous opportunity to create jobs, grow the economy and create an economic boon for the region, the state and the nation.

There will be no economic recovery, or growth, without a massive expansion and upgrading of the nation’s energy supply and distribution system. Contrary to “popular opinion,†which has been shaped by scam artists like T. Boone “Windbag†Pickens, and “green†ideologues like Al Gore, only a massive expansion of nuclear energy can provide the quality and quantity of energy that a 21st Century economy requires.
Papi Pulido is in on this group. Just what we need, another company to get a high priced City Contract on the taxpayer dime to do absolutely nothing. What a ponzi scheme that is going to be, Mike Levin will be set for life at the expense of poor Latino Santa Ana taxpayers and residents.
That is not what this group is about at all. Miguel’s expertise in engineering is an asset. And while he’s co-chair of the group and experienced about clean technologies, he joins three other mayors of OC’s largest cities on the Board. The group is about bringing jobs to OC; there isn’t city or county budget dollars attached to this. But as jobs and companies come in, it will bolster the county’s tax base.
