Please join the Orange County Young Democrats for their endorsement meeting next Thursday, September 9th at the IBEW Union Hall in Orange!
Their guest speaker will be Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez. Congresswoman Sanchez has been Orange County’s only real voice in Washington for more than a decade, and is facing a stronger than usual tea-bagger challenger this year.

The club will also be endorsing candidates for local offices.. speed dating style! “We will break up into small groups and candidates will jump from group to group roughly every 5 minutes,” said President Nick Anas. “This will give the chance for our members to ask the questions that are important to them in a more informal setting. We will then make our endorsements.”
Seats considered for endorsement will include Mayoral, City Council, Community College, and School Board races. To be considered for endorsement a candidate must meet the following criteria.
- Inform the club via email no later than Tuesday, September 7th that they wish to seek the OCYD endorsement (ocyoungdemocrats@gmail.com)
- Per OCYD bylaws, the candidate must be a registered Democrat to seek an endorsement
Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting, but in order to vote you must be a chartered member of the organization.
