The Academy of International Dance is holding their annual Tequisa Fundraiser this year on August 1st at Mile Square Park. Tickets are only $6.00 The ticket includes 2 soft taco, rice, beans and a beverage. There will be lots of games,  music and dancind! Come join the fun and help a child dance. Proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards the many dance programs provided by the Academy of International Dance.
To give people more information about this great non-profit group in Santa Ana, they are located in the Artists Village at 214 N. Broadway. If that sounds familiar, that is because it is adjacent to the new Libreria Martinez. They provide a great Ballet program as well as dances from around the world such as Flamenco, Ballet Folklorico, Hip Hop, African, Tap, Middle Eastern and Polynesian. They even offer classes in Capoeira and Salsa for adults who are interested. These dance classes offer a great after school option to a very needy community. Each year they put on a performance of the Nutcracker in December and a great dance recital in June, both are at the Santa Ana High School Auditorium. I encourage all of you to help support this great place.
I learned of this place last year when I signed my daughter Vanessa up for the Creative Dance class for toddlers. She absolutely loves it and already wants to take as many classes as possible. But they do need your help to keep providing these great programs for the residents of Santa Ana. I am selling tickets for the Tequisa, and this is a great and fun way to help the Academy of International Dance. If you are interested in attending the fundraiser on August 1st, please contact me at cw_gallegos@yahoo.com and let me know and I will get you as many tickets you need.
