Do Unto Others!

Glass House

This recession that we are currently in has been one that has changed millions of American lives and hit many people very hard. I know, I was one of those hit hard by this recession. Through it all, my family and I have weathered the storm and are well on the way to recovering. Now most experts say were are now in recovery, and I can honestly say I agree.

As a result of this recession, I had to go through some events that some might find embarrassing and humbling. Through this, I entrusted very few people who were either close family or people I considered very good friends with very personal private information that I had hoped would stay that way, private.   I had a personal bankruptcy last year and lost my home to foreclosure.  I’m one of millions of Americans who went through this situation.  And while I believe the economy is turning around, more Americans will continue to file bankruptcy and lose their homes to foreclosure.

One thing the past two and half years have also really taught me is who your friends really are. Take for example Orange Juice blogger Art Pedroza. As he and his friend Sean Mill pointed out regularly, Art was one of the “trusted friends” I told my troubles to. I thought he was a good enough friend, someone I could trust, and as I said before, almost like the big brother I never had. Our falling out came when I started Sunny D, which Art took offense to and thought it was some sort of wild conspiracy against him, as demonstrated with the e-mail you can read HERE. He also went and started blabbing a lot of the information I entrusted with him and went even further and added his own slanderous spin that I was an alcoholic and a bad parent.

When some “anonymous” twitter sites began parroting the information told to Art in confidence, it was obvious to me that Art Pedroza was the person behind it or feeding information to the person who posted it.  When I confronted Art about my private information made public, he was not even man enough to own up to his actions claiming he “may” have told them something. It was then I realized the warning Sarah Spinosa had given regarding Art.  And that she was right about him.

Months later when I joined LiberalOC, Art, Sean and Paul Lucas consistently sent me text messages and e-mails that said they would make my personal information public. In one text, Art stated “If I were interested in destroying you, I could, easily.” I have the text saved if anyone is actually interested in viewing it; our lawyer, Todd Gallinger, has a copy of it too. Well in December, they went through with their threat, outing the fact that I did lose my home and went through the bankruptcy. Ironically the worst had long since past for me and was well on the way to recovery by December. My family and friends have been supportive.  And I’m rebuilding my credit and paying my bills.  For me, the worst is long past.

The same can not be said for Art Pedroza.

What hurt most was having someone I thought was such a good friend back stab me in such a vicious and mean spirited way. Of course I should have seen it coming. I was warned by some, such as Commie Girl. He has also demonstrated a behavior where he seemingly enjoys going after past personal financial troubles of politicos he does not like, as demonstrated with his obsession of Trung Nguyen’s bankruptcy HERE, HERE and HERE. What if all this was the very symbol of someone in a glass house throwing stones. WELL IT IS.

Art Pedroza has long acted like he was somehow immune to financial troubles during this recession and enjoyed laughing at the financial troubles of others. As demonstrated HERE, HERE and HERE, Art is not immune at all to this recession and while many Americans are now in recovery, it seems the toughest times are yet to come for Mr. Pedroza. It amazes me with all these financial difficulties he is finding time to blog and continues to tear down others, such as his recent rants where he makes fun of Noah Krom’s accidental death.  In short, Art may lose everything all for his blog.  We’re all pretty amused that Art mocks the Santa Ana city council and the state of California for fiscal mismanagement when it’s clear from the documents above, he has no idea himself.  Imagine if he had been elected to the Santa Ana city council in 2008?  Would his vote have been for sale?

He is a married man with three children under 18. One would think he would focus on trying to settle the two lawsuits and fight tooth and nail to save his home. Yet he seems more obsessed than ever with tearing down those he feels are his enemies. Last December he tried to tear me down, but I have since learned the saying “Whatever does not kill me makes me stronger” is true. He and Sean did not “destroy” me and I am stronger for it. Sorry boys, you failed, can the same be said for Mr. Pedroza?

Jesus’ golden rule is “do unto others what you would have them do unto you.” If only Art had read that part of the Bible, he might have actually behaved in a way where people would have sympathy for his situation.

  1. I hear ya Claudio – that Pedroza is a real “peach.”

I do have sympathy for his family though – it is not their fault that Art is a back-stabbing asshole.

  2. hey claudio i notice you guys keep bringing up the word “settle” a lot these days. as if you say it enough he just might settle. settle what? a lawsuit thats going nowhere? dont get me wrong it’s no secret i think pedroza is a major douchebag but this lawsuit is just based on hatred just like so many lawsuits are. hate on somebody all you want but never bring that into the courts. and as far as noah krom goes he died commiting a crime.

  3. what does Noah Krom have to do with the lawsuit. Jose, Art bought our names and offered them for sale. He bought them with the intent to profit and know we know why — he’s in hock up to his eyeballs. Instead of buying up a bunch of domain names, maybe Art should have been paying his credit card bills or his mortgage. Have you reviewed the filings ? The only way he saves his house is to win the grand prize in the lottery.

I don’t hate Art. But I don’t pity him or feel any sympathy for him either. He’s made a mess of his life and wants to blame everyone else for his mistakes rather than accept responsibility for his actions.

  4. i mentioned noah krom because he was mentioned in this post didnt you see that? ask claudio why he even brought him up. i find it strange that you would buy pedrozas domain name to begin with that wont look good in court and another thing is disturbing me, you know that april fools photo shoot? (i thought it was pretty funny myself) you keep claiming you try to protect your kids and what if your kids would have seen the namble site blah blah blah but yet you show the pedroza doll looking for sex in the park and the massage parlor well what if pedrozas kids saw that? do you think kids under 18 as it claims his are in this post saw those pics and do you think they might have been affected by that? it’s ok if it’s his kids right? cheminowski you’re a sham and i hope you get stuck with a lot of legal bills.

    • The doll was in Santiago Park. Does that mean everyone who goes there is looking for a hookup. I’m not the one writing about walking my dog Sparky there daily. The massage parlor shots were taken from the street, so perhaps you need to ask Santa Ana city leader about signage. I worry more about the websites he visits and routes domains he bought from his computer in his home. I think his kids are far more likely to see something really bad there and I don’t think his kids visit the Liberal OC when they are on the Internet.

Actually, when we do get to court, you will find two different things. One party who adhered to the law (us) and one who didn’t (Art); and now with the foreclosure filings Claudio exposed in this post, Art had a financial motive to basically try and blackmail us for our names.

He faces a May 26 deadline for discovery and we have asked for a copy of his hard drive. No telling what we’ll find there.

  5. Where are your friends now Art? How are Sean Mill, Tony Bushala, Larry Gilbert or Vern Nelson helping you get through all this? You may lose your family, your house, everything you own, but at least you are the most successful Latino blogger ever.

  6. a copy of his hard drive? you think that because you want certain things in discovery you’re gonna get it? in my many years of fighting joseph fletcher in the courts the one thing i have learned is it all comes down to the judge who hears your case and if that judge has a shred of common sense you would be suprised how many dont. and you saying that pic of the massage parlor was taken from the street is pathetic. you better prepare yourself as well cheminoski because another thing i found in my many years of going to court is nothing pisses off a smart judge more than when you try to insult their intelligence.

  7. apologist for pedroza? oh cheminowski surely you can do better than that. both of you have behaved like little children but you’re the little child who brought this into the courts. and if you think the legal system is fair and right you’re in for a rude awakening. ive seen judges who shouldnt be in charge of a broom let alone a courtroom. you better hope you get a good one because our legal system is littered with bad judges and lawyers and regardless of the outcome of this lame case it’s you who is gonna look bad in the end. actually, you’re looking pretty bad already.

It is obvious that you have never been on the receiving end of Pedroza’s uncontrolled need to bloviate, fueled by only his jaded opinion, rarely by truth or fact. Those of us who have watched him for a while see a very sick man, if he wasn’t such a annoying gasbag we might feel sorry for him. Think about his current situation, the cybersquatting lawsuit, home forclousure, credit card fraud lawsuit, and what is he doing……blogging. What an ass. His obsession about that *world weekly news* of blogs is more important to him than his family.

  8. repulsed, actually i have i was banned from the oj by i’m pretty sure sarah michele spinoza but pedroza knew this and didnt do anything about it because at that time i was regularly bashing the wicked witch of little saigon janet nguyen back when he was very much in love with her. but i’m against this lame lawsuit because for one it’s a case thats based on hatred not based on something to protect little kids from pedroza. i dont buy for one second that he’s a pedophile or that he even has those kinds of thoughts as cheminowski would have you to believe even though he insinuates it all the time. i feel strongly about this because it’s just a stupid lawsuit between bloggers and both have behaved badly. i know what it’s like being prosecuted by a jackass just because he hates you and theres no excuse for it none whatsoever. as i have said on here before the courts are no place to go after somebody because you hate them. even for a creep like pedroza.

    • jose s.

The reason we are in court with Pedroza is actually quite simple. We asked that Pedroza stop using business and individual names that he has acquired for the purpose of extortion. We explained to him, in no uncertain terms, that we would take whatever actions necessary to protect our interests.

Not only did he refuse to stop, he escalated his efforts to extort thousands of dollars from us and harm our businesses. The only thing that got his attention was the lawsuit, and by then we had spent a considerable amount of money to get him to stop.

Now the suit is about recovery of thoses costs. Given the financial disaster that Pedroza is facing, we may never see a dime, but absent a judgement there is no way we will.

Pedroza thought wee were bluffing. He was wrong. Pedroza though he could do whatever he wanted; that the law did not apply to him. He was wrong.

While I have empathy for his family, I have no sympathy for him.

      • prevatt, you didnt have to pay him anything and by not paying him anything and not getting the domains was and is in no way harmfull to cheminoswskis business or kids. and by saying this case is about recovering the costs well thats your problem after all it was you guys who brought this into this arena. and going to court in my opinion is all about bluffing. bluffing and making the other guy think they’re gonna have to pay big if they dont see your side of this. i think a lot of that has gone on right here at this blog and it’s going on right now even as recently as your last comment. i have no sympathy for pedroza either but you guys are gonna end up with nothing but a bill when this is all said and done and you deserve it. court is no place to play.

        • He routed my business name to NAMBLA; business prospect searching for my name might have been directed to NAMBLA. Then the business name was routed to a page on ‘roids that Art claimed was educational in nature. Was the NAMBLA redirect educational too? The law is on our side here and I’m interested in justice.

  9. junior, there was a judge named edward laird who was one of the worst judges ive ever seen i mean this guy was just awful. i refused to have any part of my cases heard by him because he had a worse criminal history than i have. but there are many bad judges out there who have no business on the bench. laird was apponted to the bench by reagan so there you go.

  10. Looks like over at OJ they are fiddling while Rome burns. I bet that Art files for bankruptcy to save his worthless skin. Just think of all the people Art and Sean have *trashed* for so much less. POS!
