More Erik Brown OC Consulting Connections

Yesterday the scandal of a local GOP political consultant Erik Brown charging the Republican National Committee (RNC) for a jaunt to a “sex & bondage” themed entertainment venue in Los Angeles caused quite a stir. Assemblyman Chuck “Tweet Me” DeVore used this guy for come political work and distanced himself from the OC Young Republican’s 2010 Political Director.

Well, we did a little digging and found at least two more OC GOP candidates with ties to Erik Brown.

First, we have South Orange County Community College District Trustee Donald P. Wagner who is running for the GOP nomination in the 70th Assembly district. The image below was captured from the Secretary of State’s Campaign Finance website. As you can see, Mr, Wagner has availed himself of $2, 392.49 in services from this guy, paid for on March 9, 2010.

Then we have GOP candidate for 68 the Assembly, and resident immigrant-basher Allan Mansoor. According to Secretary of State filings, Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor has used $ 6,641.04 in services from Brown’s company Dynamic Media Incorporated between July of 2009 and March 2010. Seems Brown and Mansoor have a long-term relationship, of sorts.

We’ll keep digging to see what else we find lurking in campaign filing reports and let you know if we find any other interesting data.

  1. I happen to know that Erik Brown does work for Diane Harkey as well as Congressman John Campbell, to name a few. This guy really needs to be audited, because the political printers love giving kickbacks!

  2. Ol’ Don Juan Wagner is really on a roll. First, Wendy, now this? He IS the family values candidate.
