The New Watergate?

Not even ONE WEEK after the Republican Supreme Court overturned Watergate era campaign finance laws, there has already been a Republican linked Watergate scandal. Self-proclaimed ACORN harasser James O’Keefe was arrested YESTERDAY, along with three other conservative activists of trying to wiretap the phones of Democratic Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu.

Gee, lets see, Republican activists trying illegally wire tap Democrats, where did that happen before? OH THAT’S RIGHT, WATERGATE! Do Republicans honestly feel they now have the right to do these actions after the Supreme Court decision. I think we all know  Senate Republican leaders were in on the whole operation. We just need a good reporter to do some digging and O’Keefe will be right about one thing, the truth will set us free.

Well O’Keefe, you are facing 10 years in prison, and you won’t have some cute little Christian Conservative posing as a slut to be your booty call, you get be cellmates with BUBBA. Was it really worth it for the “conservative” cause? You should tell the truth. Tell the world about McConnell and the GOP’s involvement. We know they were involved, no one is fooled here. I just wonder how ACORN was fooled by his act. One look at how he was dressed and I think it would have been obvious to even the most casual observer that he was just some wannabe poser that was sung about by The Offspring 12 years ago(Pretty Fly For a White Guy). Seriously, who even dresses like that these days other than wannabe posers who think they are like Jamie Kennedy in Malibu’s Most Wanted.

As for the co-sponsors of the resolution which says O’Keefe is a good example and a man of good character. So far, radio silence from the 32 co-sponsors. As good Christians, they should be speaking out against this. Still no word on Red County on this outrageous intrustion int This needs to be investigated from top to bottom so the truth of Republican involvement is exposed and the GOP is shown for the frauds they are.

  1. “I think we all know Senate Republican leaders were in on the whole operation.”

    Ha – ha – ha – ha – ha – ha – ha – ha – ha x 1,000 !!!

  2. Attorney J. Garrison Jordan denied the four men were trying to disable or wiretap the phones in Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office at a federal building in New Orleans.

“You’re dealing with kids,” he said. “I don’t think they thought it through that far.”

Instead, Jordan said, they hoped to get embarrassing video footage of her staff handling constituent calls.

Sorry Claudio – no wiretapping – no “Watergate.”

Where is there ANY indication of Republican Senatorial involvement?

  3. Junior,

You do realize that was their DEFENSE ATTORNEY who said that. He would be a pretty crappy Defense if he came right out and said it was a conspiracy. You of all people should know that.

Problem is you are SOOOOOOOO partisan that you just blindly believe anything that comes from the conservative side with no questioning or reasoning. I pity people like that, and it seems to be conservative moreso who just believe whatever comes out of their pundits mouths because they want to.

You don’t want to believe the truth, so you will believe the lies. Again, look at who said it, THE DEFENSE ATTORNEY!

  4. They are not entitled to a defense?

It sounds like a logical explanation to me. Did the authorities find any wiretapping evidence? We don’t know yet.

Innocent (of that) until proven guilty right? Of course we can always prosecute them in the press – right?

I am not that partisan Claudio – my creds – I think that John Campbell is a dick; and more, you know I supported AP against CB – I spoke before the OC Supes in support of PLAs. And the list of working with both sides goes on.

You can call me “partisan” – but not “SOOOOOOOO partisan.”

  5. Mr. O’Keefe will find out how quickly his conservative “friends” will abandon him once the full story of the shenanigans is out there.
