Three years ago, on August 17th to be exact, Mike Lawson hosted the first gathering in Orange County for Drinking Liberally. We met at Memphis at the Santora in Santa Ana for what Mike hoped would be a regular weekly gathering place for Orange County Liberals.
It’s wasn’t so much about drinking, rather it was about liberals geting out of the house on a Thursday evening to talk about politics, and other things, from a liberal point of view. Over the years our regular attendees have included, liberals, conservatives, moderates, libertarians, and a few who just aren’t sure where they will land on the political map depending on the issue.
But over the past three years one thing has been constant every Thursday, except for Thanksgiving Day, Memphis at the Santora, in the Santa Ana Artist’s Village. They have been our gracious hosts this entire time. Good food, good entertainment, and most importantly the greatest bartender we know, Johnny Sampson.
Always a smile, and always there for us.
So come on out to Memphis this Thursday Night to celebrate our 3rd Birthday and Eat, Think, and Drink (responsibly) at Drinking Liberally – Santa Ana at 201 N. Broadway from 8:30 pm till Midnight.
